At it Again
Riding on the Tour de Cure in 2011 was so fulfilling. I promised it was the only time I would do it because I’m not fond of asking you, my friends and family for cash. However, I’m at it again because of the awesome response you gave me, and your insistance that I should do it again.
Of course, training for the Tour helped me get in better shape and since then, having nothing to train for made it hard to stay motivated, (yes, let’s blame the lack of motivation for being a lazy bucket of slop). As an added incentive, the 2011 Tour was hosted close to my house in Wheaton, and this time, it is hosted at one of my favorite spots in the whole world, Two Brothers Roundhouse in Aurora, which is, coincidentally, very close to my new home.
So here we are. With plenty of time to train and a very modest goal to be reached. Diabetes is the chronic disease that most affects my family and biking is one of my favorite activities. So let’s do it again. Another 100K which might change to 100 miles if training goes well.
Please donate to the American Diabetes Association on my Tour de Cure page.
Thanks again for your support. I’ll be posting updates in here.
